Siri – ‘Sirious’ Disappointment For Non-US iPhone Users?
Siri, the iPhone assistant is undoubtedly the first thing to try if you get the new iPhone 4S. This feature introduced by Apple is siriously smart but you might face problems if you don’t have a clear English accent.
Siri offers an amazing set of skills but what has hit the world hard is its flaw of not picking thick English accents. Another drawback which caused disappointment is if you are not in the US and US English is not your device language then Siri cannot use maps, look for businesses or access traffic info.
The Siri hands on video by a Japanese user shows that Siri failed to produce results due to his unclear accent. But is this video enough to judge Siri’s abilities?
Another video by Gizmodo shows that Siri works pretty well with Australian accents.
Apple has always been the one known for the ‘finishing’ or quality of it’s products but Siri is fast becoming a dark spot on their reputation in this regard.
