Apple iPad Expected Release Date
The first glimpse of the iPad for Apple store employees is due on March 10, when training for the device will most probably start. The definite release date for the device is not known but according to rumors, the most likely date for it is March 26, with the basic 16 GB priced at $499.
The release of the iPad may be delayed by a month due to the manufacturing bottleneck Apple faces, which may even restrict the number of units shipped to just around 300,000, and the region of sales to US only. Initial estimate by Apple for the quantity of devices to be shipped was 1 million.
While training for store employees begins on March 10, iPad commercials are expected to begin on March 15, emphasizing the eBook capabilities of the device. 3G versions of the device are set to be released in either April or May.
A special gift is expected to be given to all those who camp out for the iPad launch!
