Recover Forgotten Saved Passwords In FireFox And Internet Explorer
Ever had a case where you saved a password to some website in your browser and forgot it? And there came a time when you needed it again but could not remember it? No need to have it sent to your email and waste time.
Firefox:
Go to Tools > Options and click on the Security tab.
Click on Saved Passwords.
Click on Show Passwords to view all your passwords.
Internet Explorer:
Unfortunately, the process for IE password recovery is not that easy and you need third party software for that as IE does not carry an option to view stored passwords. Still it’s better to download and install the utility once than have the password retrieved through email or other options many times.
The software I used for this purpose is called IE Passview. It’s a hacktool so you’ll have to turn off your antivirus before using it. And while your AV is off, unless you have a firewall or even if you have one, disconnect the net to stay safe.
Simply download it, run it and all your IE stored passwords will be displayed to you.
You can download this here, and go here if you want to learn more about it. Although they do not mention IE 8 RC1 as a supported browser but it worked fine for me.
